Heading into the great outdoors this summer? Be ready for what Mother Nature can throw at you with a quick, fun, hands-on approach to Wilderness First Aid!
On Wednesday, May 13, join Great Outdoor Provision Co. and the Wake Forest University Wilderness Medicine Fellowship program, at the 6th Annual Bandages and Brews: Stayin’ Alive in the Outdoors event, hosted by Fiddlin’ Fish Brewing Company, 772 Trade St. NW, Winston-Salem from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. This is a FREE community event!
Attendees will receive first-hand practical advice and hands on instruction on building medical kits, water purification, tick prevention, heat illness, and back country emergency pet care. You’ll learn the skills you need to be prepared for safe and responsible outdoor recreation!
Food is available through La Callejera Mexican Food Truck. Admission is FREE, but advanced registration is required. Check in begins at 5 p.m.
