
Bandages & Brews: Stayin’ Alive in the Outdoors
Heading into the great outdoors this summer? Be ready for what Mother Nature can throw at you with a quick, fun, hands-on approach to Wilderness First Aid!
On Wednesday, May 28, join Great Outdoor Provision Co. and the Wake Forest University Wilderness Medicine Fellowship program, at the 5th Annual Bandages and Brews: Stayin’ Alive in the Outdoors event, hosted by Fiddlin’ Fish Brewing Company, 772 Trade St. NW, Winston-Salem from 5:45 to 7:45 p.m. This is a FREE community event!
Attendees will receive first-hand practical advice handling Orthopedic Injuries, initial steps to deal with Drowning & Rescue Breathing, First-aid for things that bite: bees, snakes, insects and bear encounters, and treatment and technique to stop severe bleeding and wound care. You’ll learn the skills you need to be prepared for safe and responsible outdoor recreation!
Food is available through a small donation to our nonprofit partner, Backcountry Hunters & Anglers. Admission is FREE, but advanced registration is required. Check in begins at 5 p.m.
